Experiencing occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. You live in a stressful world and there’s a lot to be anxious about. However, if you suffer from high anxiety, you can take your worries to the extreme.

Frequently, you may experience intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Repeated episodes of sudden feelings of intense anxiety and fear—or even terror—can reach a peak within minutes, and you can have a panic attack.

Recognizing Symptoms and Seeking Effective Treatment

Whatever form of anxiety you have, treatment can help, especially if you feel like you’re worrying too much and it’s interfering with your work, relationships, or other parts of your life. If your anxiety is upsetting to you and difficult to control, seek out counseling.

Of course, seek emergency treatment immediately if you have suicidal thoughts or behaviors. It’s imperative to get help if you’re feeling an overwhelming sense of anxiety.
